SGPC members join global colleagues for PlioMIP meeting at the USGS - Reston, Virginia
The Sellwood Group temporarily moved themselves to Reston, Virginia for the start of August for the PlioMIP meeting, developing this projects aims global and regional features of Pliocene climate from a range of different climate models.
During the meeting, as well as working within the group, Alan Haywood and Harry Dowsett gave a joint USGS public lecture on palaeoclimate reconstructions from both data and modelling perspectives. This was followed by a discussion session where Paul Valdes revealed his interest in extra-terrestrial climate modelling!
