Dr. Bridget Wade
My research interests are Cenozoic paleoceanography and the paleoecology and biostratigraphy of Cenozoic calcareous microfossils. I specialize in planktonic foraminifera and use their abundances and geochemistry to determine patterns of evolution and extinction, ancient marine temperatures, productivity levels, global ice volume and sea level fluctuations. My current projects concentrate on climate change from the Eocene through Miocene. Recently I participated on Integrated Ocean Drilling Program Expedition 321 in the equatorial Pacific Ocean.
