Cape Tribulation Tropical Research Station

The Cape is a World Herritage Site. The research station, run by the Autratian Tropical Research Foundation (AUSTROP an idependent, non-profit, tax deductable institution) has been esablished in order to carry out both pure and management research into how to protect this area from being overwelmed by developement and toursim.

Tolga Bat Hospital

Tolga Bat Hospital rescues and rehabilitates injured bats before returing them to the wild. It also runs educational tours of the hospital to help improve the public's poor attitudes to these animals.
