Martyn is the PI of the TOMCAT/SLIMCAT models. |
Lecturer. Steve works on tropospheric chemistry studies with TOMCAT.
PDRA. Wuhu works on stratospheric studies with SLIMCAT, including polar and mid-latitude ozone loss.
Wenshou works on coupling the chemistry code from TOMCAT/SLIMCAT to the Met Office Unified Model (GCM) to produce a
coupled chemistry climate model.
PDRA. Nigel is part of NCEO and is using the TOMCAT CTM to study satellite observations of tropospheric composition, especially ENVISAT/MIPAS and AURA/TES.
PDRA. Sandip is working on the impact of solar variability on middle atmosphere chemistry (SOLCLI project).
PDRA. Beatriz is working on testing/improving the stratospheric circulation in the wind fields used to drive the CTMs.
PhD student. Lara uses SLIMCAT, with a chemical data assimilation scheme, to improve the retrieval of tropospheric trace gases from space.
Tom is studying for PhD on interactions between aerosols and chemistry. His work is part of the
SOLAS project.
PhD student. Sarah uses TOMCAT (nested version) to study long-range transport of tropospheric pollutants.
PhD student. Chris is using inverse modelling to look at fluxes of carbon-containing species CO, CO2, CH4.
PhD student. Ryan is using TOMCAT/SLIMCAT to look at halogen species transport/degradation in the TTL.
A number of people are also involved in developing GLOMAP, the version of TOMCAT with a detailed aerosol scheme. |
