I am Professor of Meteorology, within the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS) at the University of Leeds. I have a joint position between the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science (ICAS; part of the School of Earth and Environment), and the School of Mathematics.

I also have an adjunct position at NORCE Climate in Bergen [NORCE Norwegian Research Centre AS].

  • EPIC model. A revolutionary Lagrangian approach to cloud modelling, using the "Elliptic Parcel in Cell" method.

  • EUREC4A (2019-2023): shallow trade cumulus clouds and their interactions with atmospheric circulation.

  • WX4SEN: Special Weather: a Royal Society project (2021) in partnership with Leeds schools to explore issues around the access to weather information by people with Special Educational Needs.
