Sustainable Uplands filming in the Peak District and Nidderdale

Filming for two Sustainable Uplands films has been underway this month. The films will be used to communicate the findings from the computer modelling used in the project. They will each show a potential upland future and are designed to spark discussion about how we can respond to future change in these environments.
Sarah Buckmaster and the Baker Media crew (www.bakermedia.co.uk) have been filming in the Peak District National Park as well as Nidderdale and thanks go to all those people who have been involved with the filming days in both locations.
The team are hoping the films will be finalised at the end of April 2010

Government Rural Advocate praises the research of the Sustainable Uplands project.

Dr. Stuart Burgess, CBE stated:
"The Sustainable Uplands project is a great example of research that is listening to and valuing those people that manage and live in upland environments whilst at the same time informing UK government and the general public. It is a challenging time for the uplands and the kind of research being carried out by this project is essential when trying to find out how we can sustain rural communities under future pressures" |
