Earth & E-nvironment publishes:
It only accepts
articles from undergraduate and taught postgraduate
students in the School of Earth and Environment.
Original
research articles
All
undergraduate students
attaining first class and all postgraduate students
attaining distinction standards in pieces of original
research are eligible to publish their
work in Earth & E-nvironment.
To be published, authors must
complete the following tasks. Manuscripts will be returned
to authors for revision if these tasks have not been
completed properly:

Ensure their work matches the
format of the journal. An article from a current issue of
the journal should be used as a template (please pay
attention to headings, references and figure/table
legends). For a Word version of a template article, click
here;

Obtain copyright permission
for any figures that are not your own work, or revise the
work so it can stand alone without these figures.
Documentary evidence of copyright permission for each
relevant figure must be included with your submission.
(You may use a copyright permission request letter template for
journal/book publishers or for
websites). Delete any figures
for which you cannot obtain permission and renumber your
figures accordingly;

Complete and sign a
consent
form, and fax/post to the Editor with your submission

Where possible, make changes
suggested suggested in feedback from markers. Where this
is not possible, discuss this with the
Editor.

Unless absolutely
essential, cut all appendices and all reference to them.
Where essential, try and incorporate into main body of
text.

Submit your manuscript via
email, and submit your consent form and copyright
permission evidence via fax or post to the
Editor.
Short
articles about student academic experience
Students
wishing to submit a short article about student academic
experience in the School of Earth and Environment should
email their manuscript to the
Editor.
Manuscripts
within the journal's scope will be sent for peer-review by
at least two members of the
Student Editorial Board. Examples of appropriate
articles include reports on industrial or year abroad
schemes, conference reports, advice to students seeking
subject-related work experience during summer vacations,
practical advice to students planning to do dissertation
research abroad etc.
Articles should be written in clear, concise English
and be no more than 2000 words long. All submissions
should have a title, and where necessary use sub-headings.
Figures or tables should be numbered and titled, and cited
in the text. They should be included at the end of the
manuscript on separate pages. Referencing style should
match a recent article from this journal. Articles will be subedited for
grammar, punctuation and spelling prior to publication.
