Berrybush Farm |

Berrybush is a working farm, guesthouse and camp with conference and
research facilities, run by Keith and Jill Thomas. It is situated in
The
farm is surrounded by the vast Kalahari bushveld, and is so tranquil the
silence can almost be heard. The farm is 1000 hectares and stock fenced. A
range of walks may be taken to see wildlife on the farm, including springbok,
meercats, etc. Tours can
be arranged to visit Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park (80 km away),
accompanied by professional guides. There is a comprehensive library on the
flora and fauna of the Kalahari at the farm. Jill and Keith, who have vast
experience of the Kalahari, are also available to answer questions.
Berrybush cares for the Tsabong community camel breeding herd. These
fascinating animals can be viewed on the farm.
There is reception for cell phones on the farm, and a fully equipped
office with a land line is available in Tsabong.
Recreational Facilities
There is a lounge area with pool, table tennis tables and a VCR. There
is also a nine hole gold course. The evening camp fire is the ideal place to
meet new friends, play music, or just listen to the African night. There is also
a small bar and swimming pool. There is a telescope available to study the
beautiful Kalahari night sky. For the more adventurous, a bush camp under the
stars can be arranged. Camel and horse riding are available for a small fee.

Health and Safety
Jill is a qualified nursing sister and would be on call for any minor
illnesses, the Primary Hospital at Tsabong (10 minutes) is fairly good and
Kuruman in South Africa is two hours away by road, should anything serious
occur. There is no malaria in the district.
