The first peace park in
It is one of the largest protected areas in the world, covering 38 000
km2 of unspoiled African bush. Various trails have recently been
opened in areas that were previously reserved for research only. These tours
are designed not only to see the fauna of the desert, but to appreciate all
aspects of nature in this vast thirstland. You will be encouraged to look
deeper into the secrets of the Kalahari, its numerous natural cycles and
interdependence between plants, animals and insects. You will also have the
opportunity to learn how to identify different species, spoor and dung. This
can be a particularly rewarding experience.
