I did my PhD thesis at the University of Göttingen. My supervisors were Ulrich Christensen (Göttingen) and Michael Weber (GFZ Potsdam).
The focus of my thesis was the structure of the upper mantle in the central and northwestern Pacific with short-period array data.  I studied especially the seismic discontinuities at 210km, 410 km and 660 km in a corridor from the Hawaiian Islands to the Kamchatka subduction zone.
