I
work almost exclusively with data from seismic arrays and
networks. I prefer to work with recordings from small aperture arrays,
since these installations provide the high-quality timeseries that
allow me high resolution studies of the Earth's interior.
Many small-scale arrays are currently in operation since the monitoring
system of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBTO). In general,
I collect data for specific applications and projects. Therefore, I
assembled a database of array data. Currently the database contains
about 0.6 terabytes of data. I am collecting data almost daily
(and my system administrator is yelling at me) so this database
is constantly growing.
The next figure shows an overview of the data I collected in the last
couple of years. The
arrays are marked by green inverted triangles. The
earthquakes are shown as red dots. The azimuth from source to receiver
are marked as red lines and the backazimuth from receiver to event as
green line. This can give you an estimate about which events are
recorded at which array.
