By bus

There are number of excellent bus services in Leeds. Visit the West Yorkshire Metro website and

First Leeds for timetables and general information.

Leeds is linked to the M1 and M62. Parking on campus is very limited and is on a first come, first served basis,

at a charge of 5.00 pounds. Please come to the main entrance by the Parkinson Building. Plan your route on the AA website

By air

Leeds is served by two major airports: Leeds Bradford and Manchester (with a direct train link to Leeds).

At both airports there are regular flights possible from many European and International cities.

Destination maps Leeds flights at http://www.airportdirecttravel.co.uk/leedsbradford/map and for Manchester

flights at http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/manweb.nsf/Content/Destinations.

Leeds Bradford airport is approximately 7 miles away from the University, so easily commutable by taxi or bus.

Manchester airport is reachable through a direct train link (1h and 20 minutes) to Leeds city centre.

Accommodation options

In Leeds there are many hotels and B&B available in walking distance from the University.

The two previously tested places that we can suggest are the old Victorian style Cliff Lawn Hotel or the more modern

Hotel Ibis both ~ 15-20 min walking from the Workshop venue. Naturally there are many other options available.

Internet access during the workshop.

The easiest way to link to the internet while at the University of Leeds will be via an EDUROAM  link.

Please set your computer/tablet etc. up to use this option as otherwise access via Leeds is difficult. I can arrange a few alternative login options but this is restricted.
