I'm currently a Research Fellow within the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science of the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds. I'm interested in identifying practical solutions to the pressing problems of air pollution. I'm currently working on tropical deforestation and air quality as part of the DECAF project (DEforestation - Climate - Atmospheric composition - Fire interactions and feedbacks), funded by the European Research Council, with principal investigator Dominick Spracklen.

1 million premature deaths from ambient PM2.5 exposure across India, dominated (52%) by the residential combustion of solid fuels. Conibear et al., (2018) Nature Communications

The future disease burden from ambient PM2.5 exposure will increase in India, unless there are strong emission control policies. Conibear et al., (2018) GeoHealth

New risk functions find that the current disease burden from ambient O3 exposure in India is triple what was previously thought. Conibear et al., (2018) GeoHealth

The current disease burden from ambient PM2.5 exposure dominates that from ambient O3 exposure in India, while in the future they could be similar in magnitude. Conibear et al., (2018) GeoHealth
