21 July 2006 My application for a NERC New Investigators Grant to study flow and sediment transport rates and directions at river bifurcations has been awarded.

7 June 2006 Our application to the Natural Environment Research Council for a Partnership Grant with RESON was awarded. RESON are a world leading manufacturer of high resolution multibeam sonar systems. This exciting project will work on developing their SeaBat 7125 multibeam swath bathymetry systems for estimating and monitoring suspended sediment dynamics in aquatic environments.

1 April 2006 Prof Jim Best and I will host the 3rd International workshop on Marine Sandwaves and River Dyne Dynamics in April 2008. See MARID2008.

30 May 2005 Our research on the Rio Paraná in Argentina has been highlighted as lead science article in El Clarin, Argentina's largest selling daily newspaper! See here for the article (in Spanish of course!).
