The house has two ends, each with its own bathroom, staircase and two bedrooms. In one half there is a large bedroom with double bed, and a smaller one with bunk beds (sleeping 2) and a bathroom with bath and toilet. In the other half there is a large bedroom with double bed and a further small bedroom. The shower room with toilet is at the bottom of the stairs.
Heating is by electric storage heaters in each room, with a large open fire (burning coke and wood) in lounge, and a solid fuel stove in dining room.

Lofthouse has a Post Office for basic provisions, Middlesmoor has a tea shop and church.
* The attractive dales towns of Pateley Bridge and Masham are a short drive away, as are Brimham Rocks (climbers' paradise and family attraction) and Stump Cross Caverns.
* There is a good range of places to eat out including How Stean Gorge (good home-cooked food), the Sportsmans at Wath (up-market, imaginative cooking served in a restaurant or in the bar) and the excellent Olleys Pizzeria in Pateley Bridge. How Stean Gorge and The Bridge pub (just outside Pateley Bridge) are particularly suitable for families.
